Ranger...

...is finally completely completed. I found the final two buttons the other night and sewed them on. It's taken me some time to do those last little final bits but now they're done and ready for the oncoming wintery weather! Yay! Hopefully my motorcycling partner keeps warm, although he said he doesn't want to ruin it so probably won't wear it on the bike...hmmmm.

So, all I have left then are the photos, of which I am not too good at but hopefully they show enough of the detail to get the idea that this is a classic cardigan style for any guy, although if my guy doesn't wear it, I just might make it mine!

Ranger in all it's glory - minus two buttons.
Easy to make, I highly recommend.

Detail of texture, showing sleeves joining the body.
Brilliant, needs more stitch markers than I had!

Collar/sleeve/body all meet each other.

I tried to get a view of the reverse of the fabric.

I love Brooklyn Tweed. The patterns are gorgeous. I've just bought Tinder to make for my oldest step-daughter. My next post will be about the  o w l s  jumper I made her that didn't fit and is going to her sister after blocking and buttoning. She came to me wearing Ranger, the shoulders way too huge, sleeves too long, but I got the idea and remembered seeing something similar, hence Tinder. We headed out to Holland Road Yarn Company as Tash  had a new shipment of Cascade and I figured we would find something suitable, which we did. Cascade is a yarn I will continue to use as it is soft, not scratchy and easy to knit. However, I have been lusting after some Shelter since discovering Brooklyn Tweed last year. Today I bought some! Not quite sure what I shall be using it to make but I have a vague idea. Also, decided today on repurposing the Malabrigo I bought earlier in the year to yet another BT pattern that took my eye today. More about those as I get to them.
