Ramblings about my makings and processes along the way. Learning to photograph and document things as I go. Failures and successes will make this what it will become.

Holiday musings.
This is my cat, Angelina. Well, she's mine at the moment as my boy is away. Her full name is Angelina The Ballerina. Yes, he named her after a cartoon mouse when he was four. He's going to be thirteen this year.
There she sits on a cardi-vest I made, painstakingly slowly, totally convinced I was doing it wrong. It turned out too small and I didn't like the way it looked anyway. The yarn pulls apart easily and has an extremely matt finish, which says more about my ability to choose appropriate yarn at the time than anything else.
The thing around her neck is the looped over rib band of the o w l s jumper I pulled apart after my last post. Kind of proof I did it really. Since then I've managed the band of the second sleeve and one set of increases. I'm also very close to finally finishing Ranger and will post on that later.
Six days of holiday behind me and five to go. I have managed to accomplish my usual not much so far. So many plans and ideas in my head right now. Where to begin, what do I need to begin when I figure out where to begin. There's sewing, tidying, preparing for winter and of course a long, and growing longer by the day, list of knitting projects to get through.
To motivate me in to action, here's a list of what I want to have a go at accomplishing today:
1. watch some of a sewing course and knit more sleeve (at the same time).
2. begin copying out the pattern for my winter coat.
3. sorting out my winter clothing situation - chucking out old stuff/what I don't wear/doesn't fit, putting away summer things, decide what I might need to buy - plan around what I have.
4. deciding what pattern to use for my winter work pants or whether to pull apart an old pair of jeans.
5. other random bits of cleaning/tidying around the house in preparation for winter.
