If it's one word that describes me it tends to be 'inconsistent'. 'Lazy' would fit as well. I've thought and thought about it over time, am totally aware of what goes on, but yet feel almost powerless to stop it. For instance, this week I have had a pattern laid out on my dining table with the fabric I use for tracing laid over it. Sunday evening I began. Two days later I cut off the first pattern piece. Just today (Friday) I finally cut off the second piece and folded up the pattern. Now I see I really need to clean the table. If I'm lucky I might be able to squeeze out a few pieces from the next pattern I want to copy. Who knows, but by the end of the weekend I might even have made something wearable!
Keep in mind that this entire week I have been at home on holiday. With only one kid here. Intentions of being productive so often fall short and the reality is the bare minimum gets done. I cook. I do dishes. I do laundry. We spent 1.5 of our days out shopping. I bought a spinning wheel and by pure luck found a random craft shop that sells the maintenance kit I need to give mine a do-over. Then yesterday I spent doing all what I mentioned in my last post...totally fixated on the moving thing all day. Even began looking into the whole possibility of buying a house...a bit too risky for now and we don't have enough money etc, etc.
My goal for the rest of today? Stay warm! I really do want to get a specific pattern copied out and the fabric cut as well. My only distraction is at some stage I need to go out and pick up my work keys for tomorrow and post the birthday presents I finally found (they were lost at the wrong time!) along with my boy's Nintendo charger as he has played so much the battery went flat!
Now I'm off to get warmer...make a pot of that nice Trade Aid decaf I bought the other day and clean my table...and at some stage decide what we shall be having for dinner...
