It's pouring rain here today. I'm still lounging in bed with a cup of coffee deciding what to do. I have photos to upload to various places. Photos to take of a couple of finished items. Knitting and sewing bits and pieces I need to sort out and put away.
I sat up until after midnight last night finishing a jumper for my boy (one of the photos that needs taking - hopefully with him in it!). He was meant to be going on an overnight tramp with his Scout troop yesterday but the leaders decided the weather was a bit too ominous and cancelled - the jumper was begun way back in March for the first overnight tramp - obviously it wasn't completed but it also was not needed as they had beautiful weather back then. Most of my knitting this week was the second sleeve, hood and hood band of the jumper.
I also worked on a button-up cowl that is going to look great when finished. I've added a few rows on each of the owlies mitts I'm working on. And began a new pair of socks at the youngest step-daughter's ballet exam on Friday. Decided I must finish at least three current projects before I can cast on for my owl jumper/cardi (haven't decided). Last night's jumper mission counts as one! As well as all the above projects I have a vest/cardi I began as part of a knit-a-long in November last year. I'm not really enamoured with my choice of yarn but it may look better after blocking. I am determined to complete it.
And now...as I have procrastinated enough, I am off...to knit...and watch my Mum's flight track its way across the Tasman until it's time to head off and visit with her while she waits for her connecting flight to down South...and knit some more.
