A couple of things changed today. Nothing overly significant. We had some guys come by to fix a few problems with our phone line. This has made changing ISPs slightly irritating and long drawn out. It's not their fault, just the way this house works...dodgy everything! We've been with our current telco for over five years, which is along time really. In the last year I've had some really bad service from them. Slowly, we've been looking around to see who is providing a better service and we've finally found one. Tomorrow I make the call to disconnect the old service at a saving of close to 50%, this is good!
It's getting close to summer here now. Today was the first good day when it's been good weather and I've been feeling energetic enough to tackle the bedding. Wash the duvet inner. Clean sheets, changed to summer cotton. Removing the old duvet cover and replacing with a fresh new, clean one. The old one we've suffered with all winter. It's made of that horrible microfibre that causes the duvet inner to slide and bunch like crazy! So when it's dried and folded it's off to the oppie for someone else. Next I'm thinking about pulling out my summer clothes and ditching most of my old winter ones so I can start again next winter!
The last thing I've done today is swap over a chair and couch in the lounge. I'm so lazy. Now I can sit on the couch watching telly with my legs propped up if I wish and the chair can be rotated around to prop legs up on the windowsill to take advantage of the sun when/if required. I think I still need to move a rug somewhere as it now looks dumb sitting where it is.
Of course, I've been working on my Angostura. I'm almost done with the actual knitting part and then it's all about sewing it up. I already have my next project lined up. My partner finally agreed to me knitting him a jumper. It's called Ranger and it's by Jared Flood. I picked up some lovely Cascade 220 (same as my Angostura) in a burgundy colour. Can't wait to get started on it! And finishing off the second Java sock...eventually.
